SorghRum Ice Cream

Spirit
Dry Dock Sorghrum
Ingredients
2 ½ cups packed dark brown sugar
2 tbsp vanilla
1 ½ cups Dry Dock SorghRum
2 qts Half and Half
1 qt heavy cream
3 cups whole milk
Directions

Heat the brown sugar, vanilla and SorghRum in a heavy sauce pan over medium heat.

Cook and stir continuously until it simmers.

When it begins to boil watch it closely so as to not flambé it.
Stir and simmer for 2 full minutes.

KEEP the saucepan lid handy so if it flames us you can cover the pan.
The point of this is to release some of the alcohol so the ice cream freezes harder.

Take this syrup off the stove and let it cool to room temperature.
Add the milk and cream.

Put this mix into the refrigerator and chill it.
This should take several hours or overnight.

Put the cold batter into your ice cream freezer and follow the manufactures directions.

If you do not have an ice cream freezer GO BUY ONE! This recipe is worth it.
