Spirit: Iowish Whiskey


 •1 pouond bacon

•4 TBS bacon fat

•4 TBS butter

•8 TBS flour

•1 cup milk

•1 cup Iowish Whiskey

•1/2 teaspoon pepper

•Salt to taste  


Bake the bacon on a sheet pan until crispy. Drain the bacon on paper towels and put the bacon fat in a skillet with the butter. Melt the butter and slowly stir in the flour. Cook the flour for one full minute. Mix the milk with the whiskey and add it to the gravy while whisking. After the gravy is perfectly cooked, add crumbled bacon and season with pepper and salt as needed. Serve over warm biscuits! You’re welcome!
